With over 15 years of professional experience in the fitness industry, Angela is passionate about seeing people get off the sidelines and live center-court! Angela does it all - she's a strategic planner, instructor trainer, product creator, marketer, and truth-teller. When she's not transforming lives through fitness, Angela enjoys soaking up the sun, exploring new restaurants, and planning her family’s next epic travel adventures.
You'll see Angela’s creative vision and fingerprints all over RECON - from the themes and decor to the choreography and vibe. And speaking of RECON, you can catch Angela on stage at the live workouts and sharing her Enneagran 8 wisdom during her inspiring breakout sessions — all while taking care of her primary duties as “Mother of the World.”
Meet Catherine, also known as "Cappy". Her mission? Inspire people to live their lives to the fullest. Dancing is in her bones and her DNA, she comes from a long line of World Champion and famous dancers. She's an Enneagram 1 with a degree in Film & Digital Media and a 90's rap library in her brain. When Catherine isn't inspiring people to break a sweat, she’s likely hanging out with friends, catching up on her favorite podcasts, or hanging out with her adorable pup, Baller.
Catherine is a multi-talented REFIT player - she heads up business strategy, community and culture development, instructor training, and product development. At RECON, Catherine brings serious swagger to live workouts and leads killer breakout sessions. Plus, be on the lookout for her alter-ego, Cardio Cathy!
Say hello to Emily, a Waco native with a nomadic spirit. She's a 7 on the Enneagram and is all about trying new things and experiencing everything life has to offer. She’s passionate about helping people find their place and getting stronger in body, mind, and soul. Emily's contagious energy and positive attitude make her a favorite among REFIT participants and team members alike.
Emily focuses on instructor development, content creation, and making the local studio a home away from home for Wacoans and visitors. Oh, and did we mention she's raising three awesome boys at the same time? Talk about a superhero! At RECON, you’ll find Emily packing a punch during the live workouts, teaching high-energy breakout sessions, and giving the best hugs around. Get ready to feel the love!
For the last 23 years, Kelly has been fueled by a desire to help people of faith to do good, well. As an adjunct social work faculty member at Baylor, she spent a decade catalyzing sharp-minded students with big hearts to serve in the social sector.
As a nonprofit Executive Director, she was energized by engaging donors and cross-sector collaborators to end youth homelessness in our community.
At Leap, she hopes to inspire leaders to name their priorities, define high-return actions, and create an inspired future.
Justin is passionate about developing a healthy culture for teams by equipping them with tools that maximize each person’s unique gifts. Whether it's working with small startups or large organizations, Justin knows what it takes to create a healthy team environment.
Justin is co-founder of Leap, a consulting firm in Waco, Texas, whose focus is helping leaders create action plans to achieve their personal and organizational goals which will advance them to the next level.
Cassie Findley is an award-winning executive leader with a rich background in strategic management and health and wellness. She holds a master’s degree from Baylor University. She served as Assistant Dean for Student Life and Director of Health Education and Wellness and continues to teach in the Business School.
As a former Vice President of Curves International, Cassie spearheaded
initiatives in business operations, kinesiology, nutrition, and fitness enhancement. She played a key role in one of the largest privately funded
research programs in the U.S. and contributed to the New York Times best-selling book “Curves” and
co-authored “ Too Busy to Live.”
Meet Dr. Katherine A. Haynes, she is a well-distinguished Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Ascension Providence based out of Waco, Texas. Known for her empathetic approach, she excels in understanding and addressing the unique preferences and needs of each woman she treats. With an extensive background in female reproductive health, she offers specialized care in managing reproductive health conditions, emotional well-being, menopause and breast health.
She is dedicated to providing expert guidance and support, making her an invaluable resource for those seeking women's health care. Seize this opportunity to gain insights from a leading authority in the field.
Say hi to Caroline! In addition to her role as a homeschooling mother, Caroline assists business owners in leveraging the power of digital marketing through straightforward and effective strategies. Her approach ensures that businesses remain visible, connected, and relevant to their clients and communities.
Caroline also actively engages with her local community as a REFIT® and REV+FLOW instructor, and she serves the broader instructor network in her capacity as a Community Liaison.
Say hello to Allison, she has been a certified REFIT® and REV+FLOW instructor for four years. During this time, she also served as the Content Manager at REFIT HQ in Waco, TX. Currently residing in Hawaii, Allison finds joy conducting her own local classes. In addition to her teaching, she is a dedicated and award-winning country swing and line dancer. She brings her enthusiasm for fitness and dance to this year’s event, where attendees can look forward to learning from her expertise.
Allison is passionate about inspiring others to discover their own love for fitness, dance, community, and an active lifestyle.
Emily and Brett Mills are the founders of Lovely Village and Jesus Said Love. Emily, with a background in social advocacy, co-leads Jesus Said Love, which provides outreach, support and a healing community to survivors in the sex trafficking industry. She also infuses her creative vision into Lovely Village, a boutique brand focused on ethical business and community engagement. Brett brings his strategic expertise to both ventures, fostering community and business development.
Together, they blend compassion and entrepreneurship to uplift
and heal their local community.
Mallory is an associate professor and the dietetic internship director in the Department of Dietetics at Marshall University. Prior to this, she spent time as a dietitian in community, acute care, and outpatient settings. Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, at the age of 13, she had always been interested in how food affects the body, leading her to become an RDN to help others who have the same interest.
She loves to share food in a positive way with others. With lots of misconceptions and misinformation shared in our world today, it is important for her to share nutrition in a positive way that resonates with everybody.
